Les Hauts de Lagarde Blanc Sec
Winemaker: Lionel Raymond, Saint-Laurent-du-Bois, France
Appellation: AOC Bordeaux
Varietal(s): 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sémillon
CSPC#: 769564
Vineyard: Situated in Saint-Laurent-du-Bois
Production Area: 35 hectares
Yield per Vine & Hectare: 35 hl/ha
Production Area: A mild climate (due to the Atlantic Ocean). Lots of sunshine, and regular rain, the hillside situation and the clay-limestone soil and gravels offer the best conditions for the growth of the vines and the grapes.
Training System: The vineyard is held up by Guyot double (Bordeaux style) to obtain the best maturity and also to avoid phytosanitary disease. The vine is held up by wires.
Alcohol: 12.5% by vol.
Colour: A pale yellow robe with green reflections.
Aroma: The dominance of Sauvignon Blanc reveals intense flavours of white flowers, citrus and white fruits.
Tasting Notes: While in the mouth, the Sémillon brings roundness, volume and
richness with pleasant notes of citrus fruits. A fine liveliness leads to a great finale.
Enjoy With: Vegetable platters, oysters, seafood, fish, appetizers, grilled salmon…
Serve at: 45º F
